PIPETTO FOR RODNIK

After seeing the brand online, ready-to-wear label Rodnik approached Chantal to design a commissioned a range of accessories for their 2009 S/S Collection, to be shown at Rodnik’s London, New York and Milan fashion week runway shows. The high-profile runway shows, attended by the likes of Italian Vogue, saw the commissioned range land in the September’s Vogue coverage, cover of the London Paper, InStyle and a number of others.

UK DISTRIBUTION

With early success of the capsule collection in Selfridges, the range of technology accessories expanded to include luxury cases for iPhone, iPod and BlackBerry. Keeping the luxury look and feel it had come to be known for, the brand set its vision to offer a functional, fashionable solution in fashion-technology retailers and partnered with two UK distribution partners, who help launch the brand into a number of UK retail partners, such as Harrods, John Lewis, Orange, Apple Premium Resellers and UK Airport Stores.

Pipetto launched its first “Designed for Apple” collection, in collaboration with Apple Europe. The range of Apple Exclusive Products sat in the top tier of Apple’s premium accessories and was one of the top-selling collections across online and in-store in Europe. As 1 of 7 exclusive brands to design in collaboration with and exclusively for Apple Europe, Pipetto’s accessories became available in Apple in over 20 countries.

2018 was an incredibly busy and exciting year for us! After spending over a year developing a product combining the functionality our customers love in the Origami Case with Military grade durability, we finally launched our first ruggedised drop-tested Military Spec (MIL-STD-810G) case — the Origami Shield. It's a highly protective, highly functional, 5-in-1 iPad case for those who need the ultimate in protection but don’t want to compromise on functionality. We also launched in two new territories — the Philippines and Japan — adding over 2500 new stores to our global stockists (for a total of 3200+) across 36 countries!

PORTOBELLO MARKET

In 2007, Pipetto was founded at Portobello Market, in London’s Notting Hill. Designer and founder, Chantal Therien, handcrafted a range of glamorous Mens and Womens western belts, each using vintage artefacts and ornate metal buckles to create one-off pieces. In late 2007, the small brand launched online, photographing friends to model the handmade belts and word of mouth to build up a small following.

LAUNCHES IN RETAIL STORES

After getting seed-funding from the initial sales, Pipetto self-funded an expansion of the product range. Given her background of handcrafted leather products, Chantal saw a niche in the market and re-oriented the brand to focus on premium trend-lead technology accessories. The first products under the new direction, were a range of luxury leather laptop sleeves which were first taken into Selfridges (London) in November 2009.

HARVEY NICHOLS
COLLABORATION

After establishing a UK distribution channel made the products more well known, famous UK fashion retailer Harvey Nichols approached us to launch a collaboration of limited-edition capsule collection of iPhone and iPod accessories. The collaboration was the first co-branded collaboration to hit mainstream retail, and quickly sold out in store, helping to solidify Pipetto’s place as a fashion technology brand in the UK.
